Exploring the basic function and design of furniture as it relates to human factors, such as anthropometrics and ergonomics. This chair was fabricated using four layers of moulded plywood with Walnut Crown wood veneer finishing. The design of the chair uses planar curves in order to maximize the potential of bendy plywood. It consists of four pieces, two horizontal pieces (the seat and a shelf), that are held together by two perpendicular pieces (the legs), all is held by eight solid wood spacers. Creating a floating lightweight illusion juxtaposed with its heavy weight construction materials in a manner that each piece relies on the other for stability, blurring the boundaries between weightlessness and solidity.
